For the past five years, Andie & Al have run a highly effective six-month mentorship program in which they hand-pair mentors (women and men) and mentees (women and occasional men) who are not part of the same organization. The goal is to provide the opportunity and space for mentors and mentees to have the open and personalized conversations needed to help mentees navigate the challenges of successfully advancing in their organizations and achieving the careers that they desire and deserve.
Each year, the program looks to establish, monitor, and convene periodic meetings of up to 100 mentorship pairs.
As our program is remote, we’re looking for mentors and mentees from across the country and around the world. Since the program began, we have had mentors and mentees from across the Unites States, as well as from Canada, Australia, and England.
We are currently enrolling mentors and mentees for our 2023-2024 program.
How Does the Mentorship Program Work?
We ask both interested mentors and mentees fill out a questionnaire found in the Resource section of this website. Pairings are hand selected based on responses.
Each program consists of at least:
- A 60-minute kickoff meeting: “How to Make the Most of Your Mentorship”
- Bi-monthly meetings between mentor and mentee
- A mid-session update and educational program
- Discretionary small group meetings on topics selected by mentors and mentees
- A 60-minute wrap-up meeting
We’ve had great success, receive terrific feedback, and we work hard to ensure that the mentorship pairs work and that the pairs are fully committed to the process.
